IT ALL STARTED WHEN…

Peg Shulha, co-owner and co-founder of Fire Works Design & Remodeling, purchased a barn in 1992. Her vision was to convert the barn into a home for her family.

After several contractors told her she was crazy, Peg partnered with co-founder Steve Schaible, and put on the hat of General Contractor herself. The barn build was successful and ignited an immense passion for the construction and home design process.

30+ years later, Peg has just as much passion for the field. That passion, her ability to see through walls, and refusal to follow status quo has made her one of the leading home contractor and designers in the Chicagoland area and beyond – with completed homes in Texas, Maine, Colorado and Florida.
